Stone County, Missouri           Stone County has doubled its population from 1970 to 1990 and has increased by 50%from 1990 to 2000.  Much of Stone County's growth is related to its continued energence as a recreational tourism area at the popular Table Rock Lake attracting people looking for second homes or vacation homes. A general aviation airport is to be located in Branson West and to be completed in 2008 will open additional growth opportunities. Homes and businesses continue to crop up all over the county.  A new factory is under construction in Crane's industrial park, Gal.ena has a new resort, Blue Eye will soon double in size with annexation.  Homes and modest commercial development are under construction in Cape Fair and Lampe.
